August 2025 All Employee Meeting Recap

August 2025 Curry Construction All Employee Meeting

The Curry Construction team came together on Friday, August 15, 2025 for another successful All-Employee Meeting. Here’s a look at what went down—and what’s coming next.

This month’s meeting focused on Fall Protection Systems, a critical safety practice across all job sites. The OSHA 10 handout highlighted several key points:

  • Training – Employees must be trained on fall protection equipment at hire, annually, and whenever policies change. Training covers inspection, maintenance, correct fit, limitations, and emergency procedures.
  • Personal Fall Arrest Systems – Must include a full body harness, connecting device, and secure anchor point. Body belts are prohibited.
  • Inspection – Equipment must be checked before each use and annually by a competent person. Defective gear must be removed from service.
  • Anchorage – Anchor points must support 5,000 lbs. per worker and be positioned at or above the harness D-ring.
  • Leading Edge Work – Unprotected edges and floor openings require fall protection, controlled access zones, or guardrails to prevent accidents.

Employees enjoyed ice cream from Sweet Scoops Ice Cream Parlor on Dewitt Ave as a tasty, cool refreshment on a hot humid day.
