The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and revising engineering documentation in the form of drawings and bills of materials using computer‐aided drafting systems. The candidate will confer with engineers and other departments to interpret design concepts to determine the nature and timeliness of projects.  

Responsibilities:

• Design and prepare plans using computer-aided design and drafting (CAD) software
• Add structural details to architectural plans from their knowledge of building techniques

Responsibilities

• Interpret and accommodate customers’ requests related to design, materials, and other technical issues.
• Use rigging hardware and cranes to erect, install, and level building frameworks.
• Measure, shape, and cut plastic, wood, fiberglass and other construction materials throughout the project.
• Inspecting and evaluate construction materials for defects or damaged frameworks, fixtures and other structures.
• Build and install fixtures, structures, molding, windows, cabinets, and counters; as well as structural frameworks, doors, staircases, scaffoldings and other such construction structures.
• Lay out roofing and drywalls, making sure that every item is leveled.
• Demolish and dismantle designated items.

Responsibilities

• Read schematics, drawings, and construction plans, and interpret them to determine how to complete jobs.
• Finish top surfaces of concrete using tools and water to create the desired texture.
• Inspect finished concrete and remove imperfections.
• Direct the concrete truck, showing the driver where to park so that concrete can be poured precisely where it’s needed.
• Assist in moving the discharge chute on a concrete truck to control where concrete is being poured.
• Place forms to control where concrete is being poured and help spread the concrete as it is being poured to ensure the finished result will be level.

Responsibilities

Curry Construction is a commercial and industrial contractor seeking a Junior Construction Estimator. The Junior Estimator must be able to read a full set of construction drawings / documents, prepare submittal packages and calculate quantity take-offs.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Review construction design drawings & specifications, conduct field visits and gather all material and data necessary to determine scope of work and organize a construction cost estimate.
• Assist in Preparing and organizing material takeoffs for transition to Project Management Team
• Assist in creating detailed cost estimates based on project scope
• Optimize job costs by negotiating prices with vendors/sub-contractors through quotations for material/services
• Maintain file of working documents as back-up for estimating database, including current information on prices from suppliers through direct contact, sales brochures, price lists, etc.
• Collect cost data and proposals from subcontractors, and vendors

Qualifications:

Responsibilities:

• Study diagrams and blueprints to determine layout of pipes and devise welding plans
• Install and verify operation of high pressure steel gas pipe and fittings, and fabricate and install steel fittings on water / gas mains
• Measure pipe routings and fabricate them to fit existing in-line piping systems
• Plan and layout sequence of installation procedures to avoid obstruction in pipe laying and welding activities
• Assemble and install a variety of metal pipes and pipe fittings for both carbon steel and stainless projects
• Install pipe related equipment such as hangers, supports and hydraulic cylinders
• Secure pipes to structures with clamps, brackets and hangers using hand tools
