CLASS A CDL Driver

THE ROLE


We are seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Class A CDL Driver to join our construction team, offering consistent, year-round work with the benefit of being home every night. This role involves transporting materials and equipment to and from job sites, performing vehicle inspections, and maintaining accurate documentation, all while adhering to DOT regulations and company safety standards. Ideal candidates will have a clean driving record, at least two years of experience, and a strong commitment to reliability, communication, and physical job demands.

Location Based out of 1209 North Route 45, Mattoon, IL 61938
Reports to Operations Manager
Management Team
Pay $26.00 – $35.00 per hour, based on experience
$1,000.00 Sign on Bonus (after 30 days)
Job Type Full-Time
In Person
Schedule Monday – Friday | Day Shift
8, 10, or 12 hour shifts
Overtime, Weekends, and Holidays as needed
Travel Daily Travel to Scheduled Job Site(s) within the Region
The employee may occasionally be required to travel overnight, to conferences, educational opportunities and other job-related activities.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY


  • Operate CDL vehicles to transport materials and equipment to and from job sites
  • Load and unload equipment and materials safely and efficiently
  • Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety protocols
  • Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date logs and required documentation
  • Communicate clearly with the Operations Manager and site Project Managers

WHAT YOU BRING


  • ICDL Class A license
  • Clean driving record
  • 2+ years of relevant driving experience
  • Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
  • Ability to work early mornings, occasional weekends based on job site needs
  • Must be physically fit (lifting, climbing, outdoor work)

EXTRA SKILLS


  • Flatbed, lowboy and hydraulic tilt experience preferred, but not required
  • Team Player: Works well with others and helps the crew get the job done right.
  • Good Communicator: Can follow directions and ask questions when needed.
  • Problem Solver: Able to think on their feet and adjust when plans change.
  • Strong Work Ethic: Shows up every day ready to work and finish the job with care.
