THE ROLE
We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Welder to join our team. This position is responsible for performing high-quality welding on structural steel, piping, and various metal components used in commercial and industrial construction projects. The ideal candidate will be experienced in a variety of welding techniques and committed to producing strong, precise, and code-compliant welds. A successful Welder is reliable, detail-oriented, and works effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced construction environment.

From $25.00 per hour, based on experience and weld test

LOCATION
- Based out of 1209 North Route 45, Mattoon, IL 61938
SCHEDULE & TRAVEL
- 8, 10, or 12 hour shift
- Day Shift
- Overtime
- Weekends and Holidays as needed
- Daily Travel to Scheduled Job Site(s) within the Region
- Occasional overnight travel may be required
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY
- Perform MIG, TIG, Stick, and/or Flux-Core welding on various materials including steel and aluminum.
- Operate welding and cutting equipment safely and effectively.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Follow proper welding procedures, including preheating, post-heating, and proper joint preparation.
- Adhere strictly to all job site safety procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Assist in general construction or fabrication tasks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
WHAT YOU BRING
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be reliable and show up on time every day
- Must have reliable transportation to get to work every day (your own vehicle or a ride)
- Proficient with common welding tools, grinders, and measuring instruments.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various positions and environments (indoor/outdoor, high elevations, confined spaces).
- Knowledge of welding safety procedures and codes (e.g., AWS, ASME standards)
